We all have things we are passionate about, and some of us have those passions we feel make us "nerds." Over time I have developed a vast array of interests; from basketball, to band and colorguard (shout out to Elegance of Midlothian!) to design, history, and technology. One thing that has consistently remained an interest throughout my life has been photography and studying World War II, mostly through images and stories of those who lived through it. As life continues to move on, I have been fortunate to discover passions for giving life to old furniture, my ADORABLE puppy dogs named Holly & Pearl, and my second half in life, the man that completes me and is everything I am not, my husband Cliff.

Through my work I feel as if I have had the opportunity to use my passions to develop my art and craft; now I share it with others through education, photography, and design.

I would love to join you on a project and document your personal history to preserve those precious moments in your life that you can treasure forever!

As a Photographer:
Though it seemed I was "wasting" film from the moment I got my first little camera in elementary school because I wanted to be a great photographer like my mother, I really began to develop a serious practice in photography while in college at ETBU. By the fall of 2005, I was shooting for the student publications staff as the lead photographer, and the spring of 2006, couples were hiring me to shoot engagement portraits for them. Since then I have had the opportunity to further develop my shooting style in a variety of situations, and I am continously seeking knowledge to provide the best and highest quality of photo documentation for my clients.

As an Educator:
I always secretly wanted to be a teacher, I just denied it. I *thought* I was destined to move to New York and become a famous dress designer, but that all changed when I was entranced by Dr. Hudson's knowledge of history in my first US History course at ETBU. Soon I knew I wanted to share my love of History and Social Studies with high school students. I had a desire to make things interesting and fun, and make my students think about the "whys" of events past. Before long, life presented struggle and opportunity, then I became a Multimedia teacher and webmaster at a large high school in Arlington, where I have the joy of sharing my love for creation, technology, and fun with my students! As an educator I sepcialize in Adobe products as well as integration of technology in core curriculum to increase student engagement. One thing that particularly thrills me is to share new information with people that could benefit it! I absolutely LOVE sharing new ideas and free resources with my colleagues!

As a Designer:
To me it just comes naturally. Design and Photography go hand and hand in my head. Why would I not want something graphically pleasing to go with my images? I love the clean, crisp lines and organization of text, along with beautiful stationary especially for those lifelong traditions of thank you notes. Let me design a custom piece of work that represents your personality--an announcement, invitation, or a notecard--the possibilities are endless!
